Here’s another perfect example. Owner believes her role is in the front of the store smiling at customers. See then hires all of the losers in town she can find to do the cooking. Eventually they close and everyone wonders what went wrong.
I have yet to see an owner who was interested in what was coming out of their kitchen and I havent met a chef yet who had any pride in the food they were serving.
We should consider ourselves luck that many of the restaurants eventually close
Chef Ramsey has his work cut out for himself that’s for sure.

If I wanted to have a thief and a wannabe thug make my dinner, I’d go to prison.

I don’t think that’s entirely fair to slam the help for their efforts by show’s end. Admittedly, I’m only a viewer of the show, so I don’t know all the behind-the-scenes goings on, or other aftermath contributions for the demise of the restaurant, but the employees did come together by the end and seemed to make the place pretty kickass.
I would have agreed from the start that the rapping chef was a detriment, but in the end, he listened and did his job and made good food. I think the problem was simply that the place was too far gone to make the turnaround, which is a shame.
Lamb with chocolate sauce. LOL. He really didn’t “get it.” He claimed to love food, yet served instant mashed potatoes. When questioned by Ramsay about his pride in cooking, his only retort was that no one complained about them. That sums up his dedication to food - no audible complaints. Wow.

That Lela was only ugly woman. A make over didn’t help her one bit. Hire a rat to gnaw that mole off your face, Lela.

I couldn’t agree more with Dave. The owner had absolutely no clue what was going on in her own restaurant. How could you not know your chef was serving powdered mashed potatoes for crying out loud?

I use the frequent the Glass House a good sized venue down the street for bands. I use to go to this place before it was Lela’s, it was a mexican joint with local bands, beer and pool tables. I was surprised to see it on KN as Lela’s, that is the wrong area for this place. It closed down, I am heading back down to 2nd St in Pomona in a couple days for some bands, I will take a pic of the current location…. I have no idea what is there now. Here is google street view: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=200+W.+Second+St+Pomona,+CA&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hl=en&ll=34.057815,-117.752109&spn=0.00784,0.019312&t=h&z=16&iwloc=addr&layer=c&cbll=34.057813,-117.752215&panoid=kLGtek7Q7Es41YBNmbFWdw&cbp=12,163.9773557585557,,0,-6.000000000000006
