It seems to me, according to the menu on their website, that they haven’t retained anything from Gordon’s menu. Has anyone checked on this?

I checked it, I think its nothing from Gordon left but the menue reads pretty simple so I think its still the Idea left. I mean he can’t leave the menue for 2 years still the same,..but look how simle it’s written.

From the comments on the first link, it seems the chef has reverted to his old ways. He also claims that there was no problem with the restaurant until Ramsay went there. Yeah Right! Thats why you invited a show named Kitchen NIGHTMARES to film your restaurant…
It seems that the chef does a great job when he has a special event (like a wedding). Most people loved those. However, his service and food during regular services are not liked as much. Yet, he is completely ignorant of all this.

The show needs better editing/directing. The back ground of the OLD look was behind the chef as he proclaimed the changes are good. This happen more then once during the interviews with the chef. I repeat THE SHOW NEEDS A BETTER EDITOR or DIRECTOR

I just find it interesting that many of these restaurants close when they fail to take Gordon’s advice. He’s CLEARLY successful, and obv. knows what he’s talking about. If I had a restaurant and Gordon came with advice, I’d whole-heartedly listen to it. If it’s not working in the beginning, clearly something needs to change - hence his advice.

Perhaps Gordon needs to call in consultants to help out his own restaurant empire:

I read elsewhere recently he has sold several of his restaurants, with their keeping the name and his acting as a menu consultant. His ‘English cuisine’ restaurant outside Paris apparently bombed.

@Scharabo: You can’t really fault him for that, the economy has taken it’s toll on dining out in the US and UK, he recently did a double KN in the UK and mentioned the bad economy. I personally think he has tried to do too many restaurants and too many shows, interviews and book signings, maybe he is smart to sell them off, and retain his name rather than run them into the ground as many on KN have done.

I had my wedding at the Secret Garden and everything was great. The food was great the servicewas even better.
And yes I have been back since the show aired. Michel did follow Gordons advice on several things. For one he did add an awning outside, removed some tables from the dinning room, and also changed his china. The food was even better on my vi sit after the wedding. Prices are a little high but he does allow you to bring in your own personal bottle of wine.
In no way was the kitchen dirty Michel even allowed us to take a tour of the kitchen. I can personally attest that in no way shape or form was this restraunt dirty.
In addition to the restraunt michel also has a beautiful outside flower garden, that is perfect for small parties and weddings.
I will be back again to enjoy your great food and great hospitality.

Randy: Well gee, he gave you a privat tour of the kitchen BEFORE kitchen nightmares. That sounds plausible. Sure. Friend of Michels?

I am french, and that chief is totally knocking down the reputation of french in the USA ! He is an a**hole and deserve some kicks in his a** !
But I don’t like eitherthe comments at the beginning, like “his is arrogant, like all french” or stuff like that. This is bullsh!t. This guy is like that, but all french are not arrogants or a**holes !
