February 2008, The Daily Express reports Gordon Ramsay has offered a job to ex-chef India Innes. She was initially given a two week work experience at his Knightsbridge restaurant, The Boxwood Cafe. The placement went so well that Gordon has now offered her a full-time job. More Info

She had a kind of vacant lack of focus that made me suspicious she was using. Ramsay hiring the chef was a solid high point. I love the series. I would be proud to have Chef Ramsay swear at me and ask me to leave one of his restaurants someday.

I got the same impression.
I loved the part where Gordon opens for lunch on his own, tells the diners to pay what they think it is worth, and then does a tidy profit.

She was really high the night out with Ramsay and her father. The Brazillian “chef” was way out there too. And her childhood friend, just as bratty. I can’t imagine what was going through Ramsay’s mind when he realized what he walked into.

Clearly Rachel was on drugs. If you look into it Gordon, wh was either using meth or heroin. It was too bad cuz the place had potential but I am soo glad that you took India in and gave her a place. She has sooo much talent.

I think the young lady owner has addiction issues. I see all the signs of it, from the look on her face, her demeanor, her tardiness and lackadaisicalness.? She appears indifferent to all the generous help she has been given by her father, by Gordon and by India. She can’t seem to cope and just wants to withdraw into her shell. She doesn’t want to deal with the opportunity that she has. If she doesn’t get some kind of help, she will continue to fail in life.
Gordon can spot losers and quitters; he’s seldom wrong.
